New Year, New Books!

Firstly, we would like to appologise for the slight delay from our last post; circumstances beyond our control has left us unable to use the blog for a number of weeks.

We welcome in the new year with new books!! As part of ROFL, members are taking part in the Salford Childrens Book Award. This year, the previous 10 winners are competing to choose the Winner of Winners! Previously in ROFL, we were reading a book called Breathe; a scary little number with plenty of twists and turns to keep your heart racing. Check back soon for reviews of this book!

We will be restarting ROFL this Wednesday 8th Jan, starting a NEW book!

Magyk by Angie Sage

Entre the world of Septimus Heap, Wizard Apprentice. Magyk is his desitiny.

A powerful Necromancer has killed the Queen and locked up the Extraordinary Wizard. Now, using Darke Magyk, he can create the bleak and sisinter world he desires.

But the Necromancer made a mistake. A vital detail he had overlooked means there is someone who can stop him - a boy. The only problem is...the boy doesn't know it yet.

Sound like your kind of book? Pop into the LRC Wednesday after school and read with us!
